  • It depends. Some clients engage with therapy to address an acute concern and only want to work together for a few months. Other folks are looking to establish a longer relationship.

  • I recommend weekly sessions for the first 8 weeks to establish our relationship and build rapport. Once care has been established, sessions can move to bi-weekly, monthly, or as-needed.

  • Yes, all of my services are available either in-person at my office in Center City or virtually.

  • Yes, I am currently providing my services via telehealth to clients residing in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

  • Like many specialized therapists in the area, I do not accept insurance; however, I can provide a superbill for possible reimbursement.

  • While my approach is integrative, I primarily lean on psychodynamically-rooted orientations including attachment theory, relational theory, and internal family systems (IFS).

  • A common theme in my work is workplace pressure and navigating boundaries. Many of my clients are working through how to manage anxiety, burnout, self-doubt, and perfectionism and find my mix of therapy training and business experience provides a unique insight.

I enjoy clients who are naturally curious and willing to devote time and energy into exploring their past, present, and future.

Many of my clients work at law firms, corporations, startups, and financial institutions. I also work with many students pursuing degrees at the top universities in the area.

  • Please start by calling the number on the back of your insurance card. Once you reach a customer service representative, ask them the following questions:

    1. Am I covered for psychotherapy with an out-of-network provider? (The code for billing is 90837)

    2. Do I need prior authorization?

    3. Do I have a deductible?

    4. What is the out-of-pocket maximum?

    5. How many sessions will you cover per year?

    6. How much will I be reimbursed for? Typically it’s the allowable amount x the % coinsurance.

  • I don't accept insurance, but I work with Mentaya, a platform that helps clients get money back on out-of-network therapy sessions. Please confirm out-of-network benefits with your insurance company. Mentaya has a benefits checker but cannot accurately estimate allowable amounts.

If you qualify, Mentaya will file claims and handle the insurance paperwork to make sure you get reimbursed. They charge a 5% fee per claim. If you are interested, please sign up here.

Note: Mentaya's goal is to save you time and money. It's completely optional, and as your therapist I do not benefit in any way from your participation.

  • I require 24 hours notice. All sessions cancelled less than 24 hours in advance will be subject to the full session rate.
