My Approach

I prioritize building a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship, empowering you to explore the deeper roots of your experiences. My approach is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and relational and attachment-based therapies. Together we’ll explore the parts of you that work hard to protect you but sometimes leave you feeling stuck, disconnected, or reactive. I’ll help you slow down, tune in, and understand what’s occurring internally. The work is collaborative, non-judgmental, and insight-oriented.

Attachment-Based

I believe that our personal struggles are rooted in our early relationships with caretakers. These relationships serve as the foundation for how we understand and engage in social and emotional interactions. Early experiences shape our expectations for relationships, influence our sense of safety and self-worth, and model how to connect, cope, and respond to others throughout life. Together, we will explore how these early interactions informed your development and continue to affect the present.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS allows us to explore the complexity of the human mind including the vulnerable parts that carry pain, the protective parts that try to control and protect us from the memory of the pain, and the reactive parts that engage in behaviors to avoid pain. Through IFS, we will connect with these parts by giving them a voice with the ultimate goal of restoring harmony in the internal system.

I am currently completing IFS Level 1 Training through the IFS Institute and continue to pursue additional IFS training.
