Do you accept insurance?

Insurance is not accepted; however, a superbill can be provided for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Mentaya, a platform that helps clients get reimbursed for out-of-network therapy, is also available as an optional service.

How do I check if I have out-of-network therapy benefits?

Call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask: Am I covered for psychotherapy with an out-of-network provider (billing code 90837)? Do I need prior authorization? Do I have a deductible? What is my out-of-pocket maximum? How many sessions are covered per year? How much will I be reimbursed per session?

What is the cancellation policy?

24 hours notice is required. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are subject to the full session rate.

Good Faith Estimate Notice

Under the law, health care providers are required to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including therapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your care will cost. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Like many specialized therapists in the area, I do not accept insurance; however, I can provide a superbill for possible reimbursement.

I don't accept insurance, but I work with Mentaya, a platform that helps clients get money back on out-of-network therapy sessions. Please confirm out-of-network benefits with your insurance company. Mentaya has a benefits checker but cannot accurately estimate allowable amounts.
If you qualify, Mentaya will file claims and handle the insurance paperwork to make sure you get reimbursed. They charge a 5% fee per claim. If you are interested, please sign up here.
